POSITION TITLE: Project Estimator/Manager
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
Project Estimators/Managers are responsible for estimating roofing projects and act as Project Manager throughout the construction project.
FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:
- Estimate new construction, re-roofing & modernization scopes for public and private works
projects
- Research trade publications to locate projects for bid
- Prepare and submit bids in a timely manner
- Prepare project job
sheets and coordinate pricing/purchasing
- Prepare submittals for approval
- Attend pre-job meetings and coordinate projects with our General Superintendent
- Review contract documents and process change order requests
- Develop working relationships with General Contractors, Project Managers, Property Managers, Suppliers and Subcontractors
- Prepare Monthly Billings and maintain current Schedule of Values
QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful applicants for this position have demonstrated the ability to perform the above FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES satisfactorily. In addition, successful applicants possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum two years experience as Project Estimator bidding built-up roofing, single-ply roofing, and waterproofing projects
- Architectural and mechanical drawings, and the ability to read, interpret, and take-off construction drawings
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Demonstrable math, written, and verbal communication skills
SALARY: Dependent upon experience. Bonus Incentive Program is also offered.
